Student Talent on display at Art021 and FutureLab
Last week, students from Shanghai American school had the incredible opportunity to showcase their artwork at two prestigious exhibitions: Art021 and About Art & Design Education FutureLab (hereafter FutureLab).
Art021, one of the leading contemporary art fairs in Shanghai, gathered top galleries, artists, and collectors from around the globe. Our students proudly displayed their work alongside renowned artists such as Issy Wood, Yuxing Huang, Luc Tuymans, and Merrill Wagner. Notably, all student artworks attracted interest from buyers! Our student artists also decided that a portion of all sales will be donated to charity. This highlights not only their commercial talent but also their commitment to giving back to the community.
In parallel, another group of SAS students participated in a special FutureLab exhibition themed "Guarding the Future". This exhibition focused on sustainable urban development and the role of technology in creating friendly cities. Our students showcased innovative artworks created through AI-driven platforms, paintings and 3D designs, exploring concepts of green, safe, and inclusive urban environments. Some students received accolades for their outstanding work, winning awards for Best Visual, Best Creativity, and Best Design.
These exhibitions spotlight our students' artistic abilities and reflect the strength of the SAS community in developing, promoting, and uplifting young talent. We are proud to support all our budding artists as they learn how to take their place alongside established professionals in the art world.
