Child Protection at SAS

Shanghai American School, in keeping with our core values and vision statements, has a Child Protection Policy that guides our faculty, staff, and families in matters related to the health, safety and care of children in attendance at our school. By accepting employment at SAS, all faculty and staff agree to work in partnership with the School, and abide by the policies adopted by the SAS Board.

With this in mind:

SAS accepts applications for Faculty and Leadership positions in two ways:

  1. Schrole Connect – All applicants, including those with and without a Schrole profile
  2. APLi* – Applicants who only have a Search Associates profile
    *Those who have both a Schrole profile and a Search Associates profile should only apply using Schole Connect. Please do not apply via APLi if you have a Schrole profile and do not apply via both platforms.

Note that while APLi only requires 2 confidential references, SAS gives preference to candidates with 3 or more references, including your current principal, another leader at your current school, and at least one direct supervisor from your previous school, if applicable.

PROFESSIONAL STAFF AND TEACHING ASSISTANTS
Professional staff members work in administrative positions in various departments. Teaching assistants work in the divisions to provide support to our students and teachers in the classroom and other learning facilities on campus. Both groups are locally-hired employees.
